In this calm space of Somatic Yoga inquiry, you learn and experience how to mindfully awaken your body's quiet wisdom. You’ll feel gentle unfolding where ease returns like a soft spring sunrise to your body, mind, and spirit.
Somatic Yoga is the practice of rekindling neural pathways by dissolving the hard
edges of enduring aches, pains, and rigidity into a state of ease, contentment and
renewal. Somatic Yoga is a gentle, mindful practice that focuses on slow, conscious
movements and internal awareness rather than pushing into poses or achieving a
“perfect” shape. You explore gentle gliding, flossing, moving patterns that help your
nervous system relax, release long-held tension, and reconnect with your body’s
natural intelligence. You will leave class feeling more calm and deeply relaxed.
Yin Yoga focuses on careful and thoughtful stretching of the connective tissues (like
fascia and ligaments) rather than building muscle strength, so it feels more restful than
active. You will leave class feeling calmer, more open, and deeply relaxed—perfect if
you want to ease stress, improve flexibility, or simply unwind.
Restorative Yoga is a deeply relaxing practice where you rest in gentle, fully supported
poses (sometimes using blankets, bolsters, and belts) for 5–20 minutes at a time.
The focus is on complete comfort and letting your body and nervous system
unwind—no effort, no stretching, just passive release and deep rest.
You will leave class feeling calm, refreshed, and emotionally balanced—ideal if you’re
feeling stressed, tired, anxious, or just want to recharge without any physical strain.
No difficult Yoga poses or challenging breathing techniques happen in Somatic Yoga classes. This class is perfect for beginners.
